When the boiler in the home stops working for one reason or another it means that not only is there no hot water available for something like a bath, there is no heating either, and this can be a major problem for people who live in cold areas of the country. A broken water heater means that there will not be any hot water to run through the plumbing.
When either of these two go wrong it is usually a problem that can only be fixed by a professional plumber. Equipment such as a boiler or water heater should not be meddled with by a person who has no knowledge or experience of it. In fact it can be extremely dangerous to mess around with a boiler, especially if it is gas powered.
